In 2001, Joe and Joanne Masarweh took the first step in what was to become a long journey to perfection. They were dissatisfied with the daily grind of their current jobs, and decided it was time to go into business for themselves."
They opened a surf coffee house: They wanted to provide the discerning public with top quality gourmet coffee beverages in a sophisticated setting.
With that thought in mind, they began to create their menu, which has the distinction of being completely modular, infinitely customizable. You don't have to drink everyone else's mocha. Do you prefer more chocolate? That's fine. Think a splash of hazelnut syrup would be the cat's meow? Go for it. You can drink your coffee anyway you'd like it. And at Zizzo's, they're happy to make it for you. They recently sold the business to Aaron and Christine Anderson. A great couple that will carry on the Zizzo's tradition of making good friends and serving great coffee.
Aaron is also a native of Capitola and loves the pacific ocean town where Zizzo's is located.
Aaron and Christine like to think of the people who walk into their shop not as customers, but as friends. Every single one of them. This mindset is what produced their motto " Good Friends Great CoffeeTM"
